Minnesota Children’s Museum of Rochester is now Spark!

Building Fun @ Rochester

Build your imagination in our new exhibit, Little Builders! This exhibit opens Wednesday, May 18th. Little Builders fosters creative and critical thinking as children work together to build, lift, move, and test. Explore physics of movement and discover the concepts involved in building: size, weight, shape, balance, gravity, and stability. To reinforce these learning concepts, we will have multiple programs throughout the exhibit to help kids learn more through play.

Friday, May 20th: Rochester Public Utilities will be visiting us with a utility truck at 11 a.m. to demonstrate the tasks that are done by RPU. Children will learn about height, movement, and stability.

Sunday, May 22nd: Sylvan Learning Center will be joining us from 1-3 p.m. to teach us all about robotics using Legos. Build, problem-solve, and design.  Children will get a hands-on experience in this learning process and build on their problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Little Builders was produced and is toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Portland, Oregon. The exhibit was made possible with funds provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
